The long-distance hiking trail owes its name to its shape, which is reminiscent of a flying eagle on the map.

There are 33 stages over a length of 413 kilometres. While the first route with 24 day sections leads through North Tyrol, the second route with nine stages opens up impressive views of the East Tyrolean Alps.

From the starting point in St. Johann to the final section at the Arlberg Pass, there are 31,000 metres of altitude to conquer.

The challenge is suitable for anyone who wants to experience more of Tyrol's culinary specialities, people and nature. The Adlerweg will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025. To mark this milestone, hikers can look forward to special experiences such as an Adlerweg photo point and regional delicacies at the official stamping points.
