Watching lavishly decorated animals as they return from their pastures (alpine cattle drive), the eerily beautiful costumes of the “Krampusse”, or the extravagant masks of the “Einscheller”: There’s a lot to see and marvel at year-round. Another one of these cultural highlights are the breathtaking mountain fires – possibly the most popular event on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze and an immaterial UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.

The majestic Zugspitze is an integral part of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena’s name –and of course, it’s among the region’s most important attractions. Did you know that the guild church in Bichlbach is the only one of its kind in Austria? And if you’re already in the area, you should also visit the guild museum. To find out how today’s “MOHR life resort” became the famous hotel it is today, you might want to stop by at the “3 Mohren Museum”.
