1 Destination 3 Camps
This year, the professionals from SAAC (Snow and Avalanche Awareness Camps) are once again offering bike and climbing camps at the TZA. Specifically, the focus is on safety aspects, technique, equipment and material as well as how to behave in emergency situations. The courses, which are led by state-certified mountain guides and bike instructors, last two days. Anyone aged 14 and over can take part.

Climbing Camp
Duration of the camp: 1.5 days
1st day: Theory
2nd day: Practice

Where: Lermoos elementary school, Innsbrucker Str. 16 in A-6631 Lermoos
Practice:
When: 07.07.2024- 09:00 am to approx. 3:00 pm
Where: Climbing gardens Tiroler Zugspitz Arena
Alternative option in case of bad weather: Ehrwald climbing hall
Participation requirements: General athletic fitness
Max. number of participants: approx. 8 people per mountain guide
Costs: Adults: EUR 25.50
Teenagers 16 - 18 years: EUR 21
Children 6-15 years: EUR 16
for admission to the climbing hall/use of the cable car (ascent and descent)
Via Ferrata Camp
Duration of the camp: 1.5 days

2nd day: Practice

Practice:

Where: Tiroler Zugspitz Arena - via ferratas in the surroundings of Ehrwald KS Climbers Paradise Ehrwald
Alternative option in case of bad weather: Ehrwald climbing hall Participation requirements:
- Climbing a via ferrata in the lower to medium difficulty range (A-C)
- sufficient physical condition
Max. number of participants: 6 people per mountain guide
Costs: Adults: EUR 14.80
Youths up to 17 years: EUR 11.50 for admission to the climbing hall in case of bad weather
Bike Camp
Theory:
When: 14.09.2024 - 5:00 pm to approx. 7:00 pm
Where: Lermoos elementary school, Innsbrucker Str. 16 in A-6631 Lermoos
Practice:
When: 15.09.2024- 09:00 am to approx. 3:30 pm
Where: Grubigstein in Lermoos and Marienberg in Biberwier
Meeting point: 08:45 am Grubigsteinbahn Lermoos
Participation requirements:
- Full-suspension bike in top condition with at least 120 mm (better 160 mm) suspension travel, good tires (at least 2.4 inches), serviced disc brakes;
- Protectors: In the bike park, SAAC RECOMMENDS a FULL-VISOR HELMET (but at least a half-shell helmet must be used)! In addition, knee protectors and elbow pads ( iXS protectors can be borrowed free of charge on site if someone has noted this on their camp registration)
- good cycling skills - experience and fun riding single trails
- from 14 years!

The camp participants are divided into 4 groups with 4 different levels - from beginner to advanced.
Costs
As with our SAAC Basic Camps in winter, participation is free of charge. We will inform you of any costs for a cable car ticket or shuttle service under the respective date. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any lift fees already paid if you do not participate.
