Large and vast as eternity, worlds spread out before us.

Below you will find a list of our most beautiful, spectacular, highest and most scenic mountains. Of course, we have many more mountains here in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena for hiking, climbing, mountain biking, skiing and much more.

The Zugspitze, a rock massif in a class of its own. Towering over Ehrwald as the peak of the Wetterstein mountain range, it awakens mountaineers' dreams with its rugged rock faces that tower into the sky. The first ascent took place on August 27th, 1820 by Josef Naus, Johann Georg Tauschl and the assistant Maier. Since then, the Zugspitze has hardly been alone for a single day; it is a real crowd puller with its many paths to the summit. Incidentally, 400 other Alpine peaks in six countries can be admired from here.

The Matterhorn of Tyrol and part of the Mieminger Kette. Pointed and angular and absolutely impressive, the rock pyramid towers above the Ehrwald, Lermoos and Biberwier basin. Despite its lower height, the Sonnenspitze has often been mistakenly referred to as the Zugspitze due to its imposing silhouette.

2.341 above sea level

A panoramic summit at its finest. The Thaneller is enthroned high above Heiterwang with a wonderful view over Berwang and the glistening turquoise waters of Lake Heiterwang. Can be climbed in winter as a ski tour and in summer as a hike or trail run for mountain sports enthusiasts!

2.233 above sea level

The Grubigstein, with its panorama and mountain railroads, invites young and old to all kinds of outdoor fun in winter and summer. Skiing, hiking, mountain biking, mountain scooters and a good snack in one of the huts guarantee a sporty and enjoyable vacation day.
The Grubigstein is accessible to everyone thanks to the mountain lifts and offers a magnificent panorama of the Zugspitze massif and the Mieminger Kette from the mountain station.

A wonderful hiking mountain for demanding hikers and mountain enthusiasts who are rewarded with a really great view when they reach the summit. At 2,340 m, Daniel is the highest peak in the Ammergau Alps.
