The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena Tourism Association strives to design its websites in accordance with Section 76 of the Tyrolean Equal Treatment and Anti-Discrimination Act, which implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 26, 2016, on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies. This accessibility statement applies to the website www.zugspitzarena.com.

 

Status of compatibility with the requirements

 

Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, this website is only partially compliant with Conformity Level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1" and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (022-02).

This tool automatically adapts to the language settings of the browser being used. As a result, individual text elements in the cookie policy may not match the language preset on the website. Since this is a third-party system, we have no direct control over the language display of individual content. We are in contact with the provider to ensure consistent language display and are working toward an accessible solution.

 

Our website embeds content from third-party providers (e.g., route planners, the FareHarbor B.V. Experience Shop, TOSC 5 website widgets from Feratel, or the leisure and winter sports reports from www.intermaps.com). This content is integrated via so-called iFrames or external scripts. Since this content is outside our direct control, we cannot guarantee its accessibility.

The interactive map content offered is provided by www.intermaps.com and Contwise Maps (general-solutions.eu) and is therefore a third-party solution over whose functions we have no direct control. Due to interactive features, we are unable to provide a fully accessible map service. We strive to provide accessible alternatives wherever possible.

• The alt text for our logo in the cookie banner is very short. | WCAG: 1.1.
  The cookie banner on our website is integrated via a third-party service. The alt text for our logo contained therein is currently not sufficiently descriptive. This is an external component over whose content we have no direct control.
• Some pages contain interactive elements whose names are not included in the labels. This makes it difficult to navigate the website using voice commands. | WCAG: 2.5.3
  This is due, among other things, to the wetter.com weather widget. We are already in communication with our web agency to understand and resolve issues of this kind.
• Some non-accessible content can be attributed to Feratel’s TOSC 5 website widgets.

The following contents are not barrier-free, as they represent a disproportionate burden:

• Some videos on this website do not currently have subtitles or alternative media descriptions (e.g. transcripts or audio descriptions). | WCAG: 1.2.1 
  In addition, certain videos are embedded via the external third-party provider YouTube. We have no direct influence on the technical design and accessibility of the YouTube player (e.g. keyboard operation or voice control).
  Due to the current disproportionate burden in terms of time and personnel resources, we are currently unable to provide subtitles or other accessible media alternatives. However, we will endeavor to offer as many videos as possible with subtitles or accessible alternative formats in the future.

• At present, not all PDF documents included on this website fully comply with the requirements for accessible PDF files, for example with regard to correct semantic markup, logical reading order or alternative texts for embedded content. 
  Some of the PDF documents linked on this website were created by us, others come from external sources or are provided via the associated subdomain info.zugspitzarena.com.
  The complete subsequent and future barrier-free preparation of all existing PDF documents currently represents a disproportionate burden, in particular due to the high personnel and time expenditure that would be involved.
  Nevertheless, we are endeavoring to make all newly published PDF documents as accessible as possible and to gradually improve existing files, provided this is proportionate and technically and personnel-wise possible. We also have no influence on documents from external sources and therefore cannot influence or guarantee accessibility. If you need a specific file right away, please contact us.

As part of the planned comprehensive technical and content-related overhaul of the website, currently known barriers will be addressed and, to the extent possible, eliminated. The complaint will be reviewed to determine whether it involves a violation of the provisions of Section 76 of the Tyrolean Equal Treatment and Anti-Discrimination Act (TGADG) by state agencies, municipalities, municipal associations, and self-governing bodies established by state law. If the complaint is justified, the Ombudsman’s Office must issue recommendations for action to the state or the relevant legal entities and propose measures designed to remedy the identified deficiencies. feratel media technologies AG strives to make the TOSC5 website widget accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 June 2025 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications.

This accessibility statement applies exclusively to the TOSC5 website widget (booking and information widget) integrated on this website.

 

Status of compatibility with the requirements

The TOSC5 website widget is partially compliant with conformity level AA of the "Web Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" or with the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V 3.2.1 (2021-03) due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

 

Non-accessible content

 

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

 

a) Incompatibility with the BaFG

• C.9.1.1.1 – For some non-text content presented to users, there is no equivalent text alternative that serves the same purpose.

• C.9.1.3.1 – In some cases, information, structure, or relationships conveyed through the presentation of pages cannot be programmatically determined (or are not available via text).

• C.9.1.3.2 – In some instances where the order in which content is presented affects its meaning, this order is only visual and not structural.

• C.9.1.4.3 – The visual presentation of text and images containing text does not always meet the required minimum contrast ratio, except for the exemptions provided in the regulations (e.g., logos).

Implementing the PDFs contained in the TOSC5 website widget in an accessible manner and creating the accessibility statement in plain language currently represents a disproportionate burden. They are therefore an exception.

 

c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

A sign language version is not mandatory under the applicable legislation.

The assessment of the compatibility of the TOSC5 website widget with the BaFG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2019/882 was carried out in the form of a review according to WCAG 2.1 at conformity level AA in May 2025.
