Red Bull X-Alps 2025

The ultimate adventure in the Alps

Red Bull X-Alps 2025, the toughest adventure race in the world, will start its 16th edition on June 15, 2025.
Starting in Kitzbühel, 35 athletes from 17 nations will tackle the 1,283 km route across the Alps on foot and by paraglider. There will be 17 veterans and 18 rookies.

The longest route in the history of the race so far leads over 16 turnpoints in five countries - Austria, Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland. The athletes often overcome up to 4,000 meters of altitude per day and up to 100 km on foot.

Athletes take off from 5am to 10pm, but can only fly during the day between 6am and 9pm. There is a mandatory rest period overnight and athletes are not allowed to move from their location. However, each athlete is issued with a night pass, which allows them to break the curfew once. From the fourth day and every 48 hours thereafter, the athlete in last place is eliminated.

Red Bull X-Alps is a challenge for body and soul and this year's edition will once again provide excitement, adventure and high alpine action. Thanks to advanced live tracking technology, you can follow every step of the athletes live.
