Local producers

Delicacies from home

Regional specialities from our own production. For "immediate enjoyment" or as a souvenir for your loved ones at home. In the region there is a variety of local producers offering real Tyrolean delicacies.
From cheese from our own dairy to self-distilled spirits. The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is not only a feast for the eyes but also for the palate.
A small foretaste

No matter if milk, cheese, yoghurt or even ice cream. The "Ziegenpeterhof" is a real treat for young and old. The products consist mainly of goat's milk from the farm's own four-legged friends. During a guided tour of the farm, guests can learn more about the production process.

In the "Metzgerei Razenberger" you can find everything from forest and meadow. Would you like a juicy piece of meat, a few slices of sausage or a meat cheese sandwich for the road? You will also find various homemade salads to take away.

For the thirst

No less than three local producers have specialised in the thirsty well-being of the region. One is in Berwang, more precisely in Rinnen, which is the highest situated house brewery in Austria. The "Stadl-Bräu" was built in 1995 and offers its guests 3 types of home-brewed beer from fresh mountain spring water. If you like, you can get a tasty insight during one of the brewery tours.

"At the distillery" in Berwang, the Rosen family continues a tradition that has been cultivated in Tyrol for half a millennium. In addition to distilling fine spirits made from fruits, roots and berries, there are two other specialities: the mountain hay flower distillate and the rose meddler distillate. At schnapps distilling and herbal courses, you can learn the art of distilling yourself in theory and practice.

In Ehrwald, too, a family business has made it its business to produce local spirit specialities. Already since 1936 the family business "A. Linzgieseder" stands for highest quality and extensive service. With a lot of passion and years of experience the Linzgieseder family dedicates itself to the production of first-class spirits. In their main house in Ehrwald, guests have the possibility to convince themselves of the specialities of the house.

A piece of Tyrol for at home

The three village shops offer various regional products to take away. For example, there is the "Ehrwald Village Shop" where, in addition to regional food and drinks, organic care products and handmade decoration articles complete the range.

Also to be found in Ehrwald, the "Hofladen BieZu". Here you can find everything that makes the next snack a feast. Various spreads, lard, breads, sausages and other meat products can be bought there. Jams, liqueurs and ointments complete the offer. In the farm shop guests also can taste the specialities on site.

"Ines' Dorfladen", in the centre of Bichlbach, entices with a wide range of products. Whether regional farm products, flowers, gifts, souvenirs or homemade cakes - there is something for every taste. On Friday, a visit to the village shop is a must, where freshly smoked trout is on offer.

TIP

Every year, at the beginning of October, the Ehrwald Farmers' and Craftsmen's Market takes place on Martinsplatz. There you can find all kinds of local products made by local farmers.
It's worth a visit!

ATTENTION: Unfortunately the farmers' market was cancelled this year due to the current situation.
