If you’d like to celebrate the customs and traditions of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena alongside locals, that’s just what you can do at several special events. Watching lavishly decorated animals as they return from their pastures (alpine cattle drive), the eerily beautiful costumes of the “Krampusse”, or the extravagant masks of the “Einscheller”: There’s a lot to see and marvel at year-round. Another one of these cultural highlights are the breathtaking mountain fires – possibly the most popular event on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze and an immaterial UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.

The Fascination Zugspitze Experiential World at almost 3,000 metres above sea level is an absolute highlight of the region. Here, interested visitors can interactively experience the eventful history of the region.

Furthermore, the guild church in Bichlbach is the only one of its kind in Austria. And if you’re already in the area, you should also visit the guild museum. To find out how the “MOHR life resort” became the famous hotel it is today, you might want to stop by at the “3 Mohren Museum”.
