Ready for some time off as a parent? Childcare in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena makes young guests smile from ear to ear – and gives parents the chance to spend some time alone or as a couple while on holiday at the foot of the Zugspitze. Meanwhile their little ones are in the best of hands and can enjoy plenty of play time with peers. For older children there's an extra youth programme, so boredom is definitely not an option on during the family holiday!
Outdoor Kids Events
Varied, interesting and adventurous: That’s how you can describe the programme for kids provided by the childcare professionals in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. It ensures a colourful and entertaining summer at the foot of the Zugspitze. From Monday to Friday and under a new motto every year – this year’s motto is "Elfi Owl" – little adventurers can go on an exciting tour of exploration.
From 01st July to 06th September, the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena offers a supervised
Children & Youth Week program. The program takes place in all weathers. A different activity element takes place every day. The stories revolve around this year's testimonial "Elfi Owl" and her adventures.
Any child spending their summer vacation at the TZA can take part.

The cover story of summer 2024:
Our hero Owl Elfi
Excitement in the forest with Elfi the owl One late afternoon: "Uhuu... Uhuuu... Uhuuu" sounds from Elfi's beak. She lives in the starry forest and loves the peace and quiet and the beautiful starry sky that she can admire from here every night. Every day, as soon as she wakes up, Elfi goes hunting and then, as always, she sits on her favorite old treetop to watch the forest that is her home. But suddenly, what's going on? There's a strange smell in the air and children's voices can be heard. Elfi rises from her treetop to see who has disturbed her peace and quiet. She discovers a couple of children standing excitedly around a fire that has got out of control. "Ohhhh no, what a disaster, help!" Elfi's thoughts go round in circles: "Fire, forest, children, animals, rocks, water... Water!" Elfi's mind flashes: "Of course! Water is running out of the rock here!" She is with the children within seconds. Elfi plucks up all her courage, grabs the handle of one of the children's buckets, flies to the crevice from which the water is running and tries to fill it with water. Not so easy, thinks the owl! Luckily, little Lina has been watching Elfi closely and comes to the rescue immediately, "clever child" grumbles Elfi. Lina pours water over the flames and soon the other children are all helping too. After a few minutes, they have extinguished the fire together! Hooray! And now Lina summons up all her courage and goes to the animals and says: "Sorry for putting your home in danger and thank you dear owl for helping us to put out the fire!" To say thank you again and as a memento, Lina gave the owl her favorite pink bag. Elfi was very happy about this gift and wore the pink bag with pride!
Tyrolean family nests
For 25 years now, the Tyrolean Family Nests have stood for family vacations in Tyrol with exceptional play programs and certified accommodation. The testimonial changes every year, so it remains exciting year after year.
To mark the anniversary, the adventures of Fichtenliesl and Seppi the woodpecker were made into a movie. Have fun!
As always, we start the week with an exciting day. Who can survive in nature? Who can read a map and dare to go through the spider's web? Together we overcome obstacles and build a shelter, compass and light a small fire. A self-carved forest amulet will become our lucky charm.
Meeting point: Confetti-Alm Ehrwald
Duration: 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Today we are relaxing together in nature on a wellness day in Berwang (for the whole family). We will activate our senses and make a diary. We'll walk barefoot to ground ourselves and have fun with family yoga. We will draw mandalas and create massage oils and fragrance pendants. We enjoy an "elephant ear" massage and take a rainbow home with us.
Meeting point: B-Active Center, Berwang 201/2
Duration: 10:00 - 15:30
Do you want to know what tricky tasks Elfi the owl has to solve for you? Then come with us to the starry forest. Clever Elfi will send us in all four directions. With our noses deep in nature, we set off in search of the tasks. Together we are sure to solve Elfi's tricky forest puzzle! In the ideas workshop we'll create imaginative works of art based on Elfi's friends, the forest animals.
Meeting point: Confetti-Alm Ehrwald
Duration: 10:00 - 15:30
We spend a day at the Gaisbach and explore the water and its inhabitants. The spring drop tells us its wishes. With 1, 2 or 3 we collect drops of water and with self-made water bombs the wet water fun can begin. On your marks, get set, go!
Meeting point: Confetti-Alm Ehrwald
Duration: 10:00 - 15:30
At the end of the week, we'll send you on a photo safari. You'll have to find out for yourselves where the journey leads. Upon reaching the destination, a big surprise awaits you. We'll get creative, play with natural materials, and grill by the campfire. To wrap up, there will be glitter tattoos and DIY friendship bracelets. And before we bid you farewell, we'll present you with your Nature Explorer certificate.
