Ein Berg. Sieben Orte. Einzigartiger Urlaub.
Enduro Tour 6 - “Group B'lindsee”
You start in Lermoos heading towards Biberwier. Just before the village exit, at the entrance to the Wachtersteig, take the paved Bachtlweg along the barrier and begin your first uphill. After about 300m of elevation gain, you will reach the middle station and have your first opportunity to stop at the Brettlalm.
From here, continue along the path through the ski area. After another 600m of elevation gain, you will reach the entrance to the first trail, the Grubigalm Trail, at the height of the mountain station of the 2-seater chairlift (Ski Hut Lift).
For those who want to enjoy the full panorama beforehand, there are about 80 more meters of elevation to the mountain station. You can also stop here at the Gipfelhaus Grubighütte.
The entrance to the Grubigalm Trail offers an outstanding panorama. The trail is about 1km long and becomes increasingly challenging. It is partly fast and partly technically rocky, and is a single trail with a demanding character. The path through a gully gives you the feeling of being outside the ski area.
At the exit, you will find the entrance to the legendary Blindsee Trail. After a short uphill (about 15 minutes/30 meters of elevation) through beautiful terrain, an advanced single trail of the highest class awaits you. 430 meters of non-stop descent, with breathtaking views. Just before the waterfall, be aware of a few meters of pushing section. There is a risk of falling! After passing the waterfall, a bench with a wonderful panoramic view over the Blindsee invites you to take a break.
Then follow the forest road downhill until you reach the gate at Fernpass. A short but technical section follows, until you sharply turn left into the lake circuit. The turnoff is easy to miss, but you can also take a detour to the lakeshore and only have to go a few meters back.
The lake circuit is flat but slightly technical, thus challenging.
After completing the loop around the lake and reaching the northern shore, you will encounter a short push section. This starts directly at the beach and leads steeply upward through a few tight hairpin turns over a small hill. Once you reach the forest road, follow the MTB Route 838 along the Mittersee towards Biberwier.
Near lake Weißensee, you will reach the main road. Follow it for about 200-300 meters towards Biberwier, then sharply turn right onto the forest road. From here, follow the MTB Route 835 upwards until you reach the entrance to the Barbarasteig Trail after about 350m of elevation. The entrance is located in one of the bends of the forest road, right next to the debris flow. You cannot miss the entrance and the trail gate. About 150 meters further is the Sunnalm, surrounded by a beautiful panorama. So, if you still have energy, you can pedal a bit higher and be rewarded with a great view.
If you prefer something less technical towards the end of the tour, choose the Marienberg Trail instead of the Barbarasteig Trail. It is much easier to ride. Follow the trail signage downhill. Near the middle station, you will find the Waldhaus Talblick and near the valley station, Otto's Pistentreff, where you can reward yourself with another treat at the end of your tour.
