active mile LERMOOS-EHRWALD
Sport and exercise are very important. For the body and the soul. On the new Lermoos-Ehrwald active mile, young and old can dedicate themselves to their fitness as intensively as they like.
This is what the new Active Mile looks like
In the summer, we are opening our new Active Mile on the Panoramaweg with a calisthenics facility in the Moos. The entire body can be trained there at a total of 19 stations. The Active Mile was designed by a fitness trainer and calisthenics expert from the Austrian Ski Association. Each station is marked with a sign so that you know how to use the equipment. The advantage: the Active Mile is really suitable for everyone. The exercises can be completed according to your personal fitness level. Fresh air and a magnificent view are an added bonus.
Exercise and sport have never been as popular as they are at the moment. And rightly so! Exercise is not only good for our health, but also for our minds. Those who exercise regularly are fitter, healthier and more focused.
A training path for everyone
Climbing, scrambling, hanging or balancing - with a fantastic view and in the fresh air. Everyone can train on the Active Mile - at his own intensity.
The route
The start is at the fish farm in Lermoos. Station 1 is at the railroad crossing.
The trail then continues along the railroad path towards Reutte, where stations 2 and 3 are located.
Stations 4 to 18 will be reached on the panoramic path towards Ehrwald.
At the railroad viaduct in Ehrwald, you reach the calisthenics facility via the running track. In addition to the training equipment, there are also various regeneration areas, such as lounging and sitting areas and a toilet.
You return to the start along the Lussbach stream.
The Calisthenics facility can also be reached from Ehrwald and Biberwier via the paths in the Moos. Of course, you can also walk in the opposite direction, starting in Ehrwald (start Viadukt).
What does “calisthenics” actually mean?
Calisthenics comes from the Greek and means “beautiful strength”. It is primarily about training with your own body weight. This gave rise to the trend of training together in public parks in New York at the beginning of the 21st century. No conventional equipment or gyms were used. People train using only their own body weight or aids such as pull-up bars, parallel bars or beams. The exercises have their origin in classical gymnastics, but also in dance, acrobatics or parkour. The focus is on a full-body workout that uses all the muscles in the body. Muscle strength, body control and flexibility are encouraged.
