Stand-up-Paddling in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena

Stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) is a trend sport – and that’s no surprise: It lets nature lovers enjoy the beauty of the surrounding scenery while standing on a board gently floating on the lake. In the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, you can go paddle boarding at one of the most enchanting lakes in the Alps: Lake Heiterwanger See. From there, you can paddle all the way over to Lake Plansee via a connecting channel.

SUP-Station Lake Heiterwang

The stand-up paddle station at Lake Heiterwanger offers more than just board rentals from May through September—it also hosts a variety of watersport activities. Paddle at sunrise or sunset, join special yoga sessions on the water, or arrange a bespoke event experience. Whether it’s a birthday party, corporate outing, or a getaway with friends, your SUP adventure can be paired with a lakeside breakfast or a barbecue.

Tip: Try a nighttime SUP tour! Decked out with LED lights, you can gaze up at the clear starry sky as you glide across the water.
