On 29 and 30 May 2025, the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena will officially open the bike season with a brand new event. Over two days, the Grubigsteinbahn in Lermoos will become the absolute bike meeting point. Here, bike enthusiasts can look forward to flowing trails, action and a cool atmosphere with music, food & drinks and start the new season together.

The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena is known for being an absolute paradise for bikers, because here you will find a wide variety of trails, enduro, MTB and gravel bike tours as well as cycle paths embedded in breathtaking natural scenery. This year, there will be a fitting celebration when it's time to hit the trails again - together with the Langes cable cars, the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena tourist board is opening the season with a bike opening.

Bikepark Lermoos-Biberwier

On the Grubigstein in Lermoos and the Marienberg in Biberwier there are countless bike trails, whether playful, technical, with casual jumps or the skill area for beginners - both bike beginners and pros get their money's worth here. Since this year, the Lermoos-Biberwier Bike Park has been part of the Gravity Card, making it one of the 30 "European Leading Bike Parks".

Bikes can be transported by cable car on all cable cars in Lermoos and Biberwier and are free of charge with a valid bike ticket. During the two days of the Bike Opening, there will be special rates for hourly, daily or multi-day tickets.

Festival flair

In addition to plenty of bike action on the trails, the Bike Opening also offers other highlights: Music for the perfect atmosphere, an exciting expo to find out more and test products, as well as delicious food and cool drinks to recharge your batteries. If you feel like it, you can also let off steam and challenge yourself on a modular pump track.

Trail Headshaper of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena and co-organiser, Christian Heitmann, is looking forward to the opening "We are really looking forward to starting the season together with other bike enthusiasts and our bike partners and of course hope that we can welcome many familiar and new faces to our first Bike Opening. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the trails at the Bike Opening are in the best possible condition. There will definitely be something for everyone!".

Sustainability

The Bike Opening is organised in accordance with the criteria of GREEN EVENT Tirol basic and is therefore completely dedicated to sustainable event culture. The region consciously focuses on environmentally friendly measures and shows that sporting events can also be organised responsibly.
