Enduro Tour 3 - “Bichlbach 1000”
You start in Bichlbach and follow the R8 bike route towards Almkopfbahn until the junction with MTB route 830. Here, your first uphill begins, climbing about 550m to the summit station of Almkopfbahn. After about 400m of climbing, the path ends, and you switch to the ski slope at the turnaround point. From here, you’ll face a steep ascent for the final 150 meters. E-bikers and more athletic cyclists will manage this climb, while others will need to push their bikes for just a few hundred meters. Be mindful of sharing the trail! Show consideration for hikers and oncoming cyclists.
Once you reach the summit station, you’ll have the first opportunity to take a break at the Heiterwanger Hochalm.
After a pause, follow the forest road (MTB Route 879) downhill to the first bend, and continue straight ahead onto the singletrail Höhenweg (880). Again, be cautious of sharing the trail. Show respect for hikers. The trail is narrow and traverses through steep terrain!
At the end of the trail, follow the forest path along the Berwanger Speicherteich (storage pond) to MTB Route 874 and into the center of Berwang. In the center, switch to MTB Route 871 and ride downhill through the Berwanger Tal towards Bichlbach. Just before Bichlbach, look for the junction on your right onto MTB Route 878 and begin your second uphill climb to the Mühlwald Trail. After about 250m of elevation gain, you will reach the Mühlwald Trail. At the starting point, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning panorama over Berwang and the Lechtaler Alps.
The Mühlwald Trail (881) is also a Share Trail. Please ride cautiously and be considerate of hikers!
Once in Kleinstockach, follow the valley road downhill back to Bichlbach. In Bichlbach, continue on MTB Route 871 until you reach the R8 bike route, and follow it to Lermoos. In Lermoos, pass the fire station and head towards the center parking lot. From there, turn sharply right onto MTB Route 868 towards Widum. A final small climb of about 100m will lead you to Tieftaleck after about 15 minutes. The bench, with a beautiful view of Lermoos and the Zugspitze, invites you for a last rest before starting the Family Trail (855). The Family Trail is a flow trail and promises a lot of fun with rollers and fast berms! A perfect trail to finish your tour. At the end of the trail, you will reach the valley station of the Grubigsteinbahn and the center of Lermoos.
