Watery fun with the whole family is guaranteed, regardless of the weather, at the family pool in Ehrwald. Indulge body and soul with a few lengths of the sports pool while you enjoy the unique panoramic view of the ‘Moos’. Meanwhile, the kids can let off steam in the children’s pool, where there’s a slide and a range of water play equipment. For the very youngest, there’s even a toddler’s area with a paddling pool, slide, and sunbeds. Adults can relax and enjoy themselves in the natural brine pool. With a brine content of two percent, the body absorbs valuable minerals, which in turn relaxes muscles, joints, and the spine. And if you need more rest and relaxation, there’s also a sauna at the family pool.
If you’d like to add a little action to your time at the pools, you can hurtle down the 65-metre slide – swimming trunks between your bum cheeks and off you go! Thorsten Unseld, Director of the Freizeitbetriebe Tiroler Zugspitze: ‘The family pool has a particular charm that you won’t find anywhere else. Especially thanks to the unique view from the pools of the mountains in the Zugspitz Arena.’
If you want to stay active whatever the weather, there’s an indoor tennis and climbing hall in Ehrwald. Amateurs and holidaymakers can hit the ball over the net all year round and in all weathers on the two indoor tennis courts. Thanks to glare-free LED lighting, it’s even possible in twilight.
Climbing enthusiasts can get their kicks in the indoor climbing hall in Ehrwald. It offers diverse activities over almost 1,300 square metres, with climbing to heights of 16 metres and two belay devices. Thorsten Unseld tells us why a visit is so worthwhile, with never a moment of boredom: ‘Over the last eighteen months, we’ve greatly increased the number of things you can do in our indoor climbing hall. As just one example, we change the climbing routes often, so that not even our regular visitors get bored.’ And if you’re not interested in ropes and harnesses, there are other things to do: alongside the climbing walls, the hall also has a boulder area, where active climbers can let off some steam. Given that bouldering involves climbing at a safe distance from the ground, this area is also suitable for younger adventurers.
