Berwang - Leitner's Seite

The circular trail starts in the Unterdorf at the Heimatmuseum (local museum). Follow the little-used road and keep right to the district of Gröben. Pass Gröben, walk straight ahead direction Älple / Hönig / Roterstein and turn right at the crossing onto path no.20. Follow the wide gravel path until you reach the glade below the old Höniglift mountain station. From here you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the valley Berwangertal! On the right, a steep, serpentine path leads down the meadow slope towards Berwang.

Now there are 2 variants:
a) at the crossing, keep right and hike slightly up via the Hochbichl to the church in Berwang or
b) at the crossing, keep left and follow the gently sloping meadow path that leads into the wide, gravelled Kögeleweg. Turn right there and hike back to the village Berwang.
