Ehrwald - Plattenweg - Tiroler Zugspitzbahn
Tourist office - turn left into R.-Spielmann-Straße as far as Hotel Tirolerhof. Continue along Dr.-Srbik-Weg until the sharp left-hand bend. Straight ahead, over the bridge onto the (uncleared) paved path to Alpenhofstraße. Cross the road and take the path through the Dr. Lauth campsite. From here, follow the cleared winter hiking trail to the right of Zugspitzstraße to the valley station of the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn.
From the church square take Dr.-Srbikweg to Plattenweg (unsurfaced path), then continue along the footpath through the forest to the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn valley station.
