Gravelbike Rund um den Thaneller
From Heiterwang, follow the road past the church towards Bichlbach. Follow the village road into the centre and turn right at the bridge towards Berwang. At the edge of the village, turn left and follow Route No. 871, the “Berwanger Talweg”, to Berwang.
Continue along the route to the edge of Berwang, where you will reach a small chapel. Keep right and follow Route No. 873, “Berwang – Rinnen”, to Rinnen.
From Rinnen, follow the paved Route No. 875, “Rinnen – Rieden”, downhill. The route later becomes a steep gravel descent leading to the Rotlech Reservoir. Follow the road along the reservoir to Rieden.
At the fountain in the centre of the village, continue uphill again on Route No. 822, “Klausenwald”, through the Klausenwald forest towards Heiterwang. After passing through the forest, you will join the cycle path along the Via Claudia Augusta, which leads back to Heiterwang.
