Ein Berg. Sieben Orte. Einzigartiger Urlaub.
Enduro Tour 7 - “Gumball 32”
You start the first uphill in Lermoos. Up the Bachtlweg (MTB Route 804) approx 300m of altitude to the middle station. A few hundred meters before the middle station, the asphalt road turns into a gravel road, but remains easy to pedal. At the middle station, Brettlam offers the first refreshment stop.
Then follow the gravel road (from here MTB route 860 and 861) further uphill towards Grubigstein.
After a solid 600m of altitude you reach the entrance to the Grubigalm Trail at the top station of the 2-seater chairlift. If you want to experience the full panorama and prefer to stop off near the summit, the Grubighütte summit hut awaits you after another 50-100 m on the same gravel road.
The Grubigalm Trail awaits you with fast but also technical passages. After 1km you reach the gravel road and can turn directly into the Forest Aisle between Grubig Alm and the water reservoir without having to stop or pedal. This starts on the right on a small meadow plateau and awaits you at the starting point with a magnificent panorama. From here, over 3km of absolute singletrail dreams follow. Fast sections, slightly more technical sections and a generally varied singletrail descent through varying terrain. At the end of the trail, after a long and fast straight, you have the option of a few very tight switchbacks in steep terrain. Otherwise, simply roll straight onto the ski slope and follow the gravel road. When you come to the middle station, keep left a few meters uphill. You won't miss the entrance to the Schlägle Trail. The first section is very easy and relatively flat through a beautiful forest until you reach a forest road again. Pedal up this road for a few meters until you see the next trail entrance on the right about 100m after the left-hand bend. From here, the Schläge Trail becomes very challenging! Steep, fast, narrow and with optional jumps and gaps. Everything can be ridden around and/or rolled, but the trail becomes increasingly challenging with more speed. Oldschool downhill trail is probably the best description!
Take care at the exit onto the gravel road, as many hikers and families are on the move here. A bench with a beautiful view of Lermoos and Ehrwald invites you to take a breather. The last trail on this descent is the Family Trail. It was extensively reshaped in 2024 and now shines in new splendor. Finely shaped, it offers endless flow with great curves and rollers. Once you leave the forest, you roll out onto a meadow and head straight for the valley station.
Once in the center of Lermoos, follow the R8 bike route to the Almkopfbahn in Bichlbach.
Shortly before the Almkopfbahn, turn left onto MTB route 830 and start your final uphill towards Almkopf. If you prefer the cable car, continue a few meters further to the Almkopfbahn. If you decide to ride uphill under your own steam, you will reach the turn-off (right) to the Lichteköpfle/Lichte Trail (882) after about 350m of altitude. Another 300m of gravel road around the Lichtköpfle awaits you on the Lichte Trail. If you prefer the cable cars, you can stop off at the mountain station in the Heiterwanger Hochalm. A very challenging and steep trail with a freeride character will make your MTB heart beat faster. Attention! After rainy weather, the trail can be particularly slippery! When you reach the ski slope, roll down it for about 100m and then turn right back onto the trail. The trail ends directly at the Almkopfbahn valley station.
