The Drachensee is one of the most impressive alpine lakes in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. Located at 1,910 metres above sea level, it lies above Seebensee and below the Coburger Hut, surrounded by striking peaks and dramatic alpine scenery. The lake stands out for its combination of crystal-clear water and its spectacular high-alpine setting.

The hike to Seebensee and Drachensee is one of the most beautiful tours in the region. For a more relaxed approach, the ascent can be shortened by taking the Ehrwalder Almbahn. Active visitors can also opt for a bike & hike, covering part of the route by bike before continuing on foot into the high-alpine landscape.

At the top, a stop at the Coburger Hut is highly recommended, offering spectacular views of Drachensee, Seebensee and the surrounding peaks.
