Train connections
The 965 regional train travels from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Reutte and Pfronten every day – and it also stops, amongst others, in Ehrwald and Lermoos. Have a look at the current train schedule!
By the way: The Deutschlandticket (€49-Euro-Ticket) is also valid for journeys from Germany to the stations in the
Tiroler Zugspitz Arena in Austria! You can find more information here under travelling by train.
Unlike in Germany, the 49-Euro-Ticket is no longer valid on local bus and train lines when you get off the train in Austria (it is valid only on journeys to and from Germany, not on domestic services within Austria).
From Reutte to Munich and back – comfortable and without any traffic jams. The Werdenfelsbahn of the DB Regio Bayern makes this possible. The Regio-Ticket Werdenfels costs EUR 26.00 and another EUR 10.00 for every additional person. The tickets are valid for up to 5 people.
Tip: For an additional EUR 6.00 – hence for EUR 32.00 total – holiday guests of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena can travel all the way to Innsbruck. What’s more, up to three children between the ages of six and younger than 15 can ride the train for free – perfect for a family excursion with up to five people. For more information on the Regio-Ticket Werdenfels, please visit the website of Deutsche Bahn!
